Additional Lawn Care Essentials

Mowing Best Practices

  • Never remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade at a time.
  • Ensure mower blades are sharp to avoid damaging the grass.

Watering Strategy

  • Water deeply 2–3 times/week in early morning (not daily, not midday).
  • Avoid shallow watering—it encourages weak roots.

Aeration

  • Perform every 2 years (or annually for high-traffic areas).
  • Best timing: growing season (spring/summer for warm season, fall for fescue).
